PVC/UPVC Window Profile Extrusion Line Detail

JWELL’s PVC window profile extrusion line produces rigid PVC and UPVC profiles for window frames, sashes, door frames, casement systems, sliding systems and custom architectural sections. The line combines a twin-screw extruder, profile die, vacuum calibration, haul-off, cutting and collection equipment. Extruder size, tooling and downstream configuration are selected from the profile drawing, formulation, output and surface requirements.

    Finished PVC and UPVC Profiles

A configured line can manufacture window frame and sash profiles, door-frame profiles, casement and sliding-window sections, glazing-related profiles and other custom shapes. The same extrusion concept does not mean that every design runs on one mould: each geometry requires compatible die and calibration tooling, and larger or multi-cavity profiles can change the required extruder and cooling capacity.

    PVC Window Profile Extrusion Process

    1. Feeding and plasticizing: the prepared rigid-PVC compound enters a conical or parallel twin-screw extruder selected for the profile and target output.
    2. Profile forming: the die distributes the melt into the specified window or door profile geometry.
    3. Vacuum calibration and cooling: calibration tooling stabilizes dimensions while controlled cooling supports the profile shape and surface.
    4. Haul-off and cutting: synchronized traction pulls the profile at the set speed before length cutting.
    5. Collection and downstream work: cut profiles are transferred to a tilting table or stacker; optional lamination or other finishing follows the approved product route.

    Main Line Components and Options

    SystemConfiguration role
Conical or parallel twin-screw extruderSelected according to formulation, profile size and required throughput
Profile die and calibration toolingDesigned from the approved profile drawing and dimensional tolerances
Vacuum calibration tableProvides calibration, cooling and profile support
Haul-offMatches traction speed to extrusion and cooling conditions
Cutting machineCuts the continuous profile to the ordered length
Tilting table or stackerReceives finished profiles for handling
Optional co-extruderSupports selected colour or functional co-extrusion designs
Optional lamination equipmentUsed when the specified decorative surface requires film application

The existing PVC window profile extrusion line description references RKC or Omron temperature control, ABB inverters and Siemens or WEG motors as available component choices. Final brands and control architecture are confirmed in the commercial configuration rather than assumed for every line.

How to Select the Correct Configuration

For a configuration-specific proposal, provide the profile drawings, maximum section dimensions, weight per metre, number of cavities, PVC formulation, target line speed or hourly output, cutting length and surface finish. Also identify the local power standard, cooling-water conditions, compressed-air supply and workshop space. These inputs determine whether a conical or parallel extruder is appropriate and how the mould, calibration table and haul-off should be sized.

Explore the wider plastic profile extrusion line range or compare the separate WPC door panel production line when the finished product is a hollow composite door panel rather than a window profile.

    Project Support

JWELL can support PVC window profile extrusion line layout, equipment installation, commissioning and operator training within the agreed supply scope. Tooling approval and process trials should use the buyer’s confirmed drawings and material system so dimensional targets and changeover requirements are clear before production.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can one PVC window profile extrusion line make several profiles?

A compatible line can run multiple profile designs by changing the die and calibration tooling, provided the extruder and downstream capacity cover those designs. Send all planned drawings so the common equipment boundary can be checked.

    When is a co-extruder required?

A co-extruder is considered when the approved profile design requires an additional colour or functional layer. Its size and connection to the main die depend on that layer’s material and proportion.

What is needed for a quotation?

Send profile drawings, formulation, output, surface treatment, utilities and workshop layout through the JWELL contact page. This avoids quoting a generic line that does not match the intended profile family.
